April Sermon Series

The Holy Spirit: God’s Empowering Presence

When a person is given an opportunity to speak with their loved ones before dying, the conversation avoids trivial matters. The topic is deathly serious since this will be the last correspondence with family and friends.

In the farewell discourse of Jesus Christ, we eavesdrop on Jesus’ conversation with His disciples. He consoles their fears and pours hope into the community of listeners who believe abandonment is on the horizon. Jesus promised to leave the disciples with an “Empowering Presence” that will strengthen them from inside out.

If you are seeking a comforter that will never fail, betray, or abandoned you, tune your heart into our new sermon series, “The Holy Spirit: God’s Empowering Presence” explaining why we should never feel alone, hopeless, or helpless as we navigate the tumultuous waves of life together.

We cannot accomplish our Church’s vision to “renew the lives of the churched and unchurched through prayer, love, and pouring into relationships” without embracing God’s Empowering Presence.

Jesus said, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:16-18).
