Pastor James Hutchins was born in Carthage, Mississippi and raised in Marion, Indiana. He confessed his sins and received the Lord Jesus into his heart in 1982. In 1984, while in his early 20’s, Pastor Hutchins followed the Lord’s call to ministry while serving in the United States Navy. This began a life of ministry for the Lord which he was committed to serve and be faithful until death. His commitment and tenacity to preach the uncompromised Word of God has led him to minister in many places around the world. He has enjoyed working with diverse, community-focused organizations and building strategic alliances with public and private organizations. He has always used his various occupations and roles to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost, fellow workers, former colleagues, and the Kingdom of God in which he serve. He faithfully served in several ministerial capacities including Assistant Pastor, Sunday School, Adult Ministry, and Pastoral Care. His service an d commitment to the Lord, and many other senior pastors lead to the establishment of New Life Community Church of Frisco, TX in April 2007. The congregation is committed to God being the focal point for worshiping Him in a new way, by simply “letting Him in” to take control of their lives. With over 30 years in ministry, a commitment to prayer, servanthood, growing the Kingdom of God, and his love for the scriptures; He has committed his life to touching and inspiring people. He speaks clearly with authority from the heart with a biblical perspective on topics that challenges and changes lives to become what God has purposed for His people. Pastor Hutchins has been married to his high school sweetheart, (Tina) for over 36 years. They have 3 children, Tinesha, Jasmine and Terrance (married to Royetta). In addition, they have three grandsons, Jaylen, Aiden, Jaxson and two granddaughters, Jayda and Abigail. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business and a Master’s of Divinity. He retired from the United States Navy in 2000 with over 20 years in service to his country.
